At Old Mate Designs, we do things in house for one reason. It is the only way we can make the best product we possibly can.

When you outsource, you lose control. The tiny details get missed. Tolerances drift. Finishes change. The feel changes. And the thing that matters most, the end result for the customer, becomes a gamble.

We are not interested in gambling with quality.

So we keep it under our roof. Design, prototyping, testing, machining, assembly, packaging, and shipping. Every step is ours. Every decision is ours. Every improvement happens fast because the people building it are the same people obsessed with making it better.

Everything starts with a problem worth solving. We design with intent, not trends. We build features because they improve the experience, not because they look good on a spec sheet.

We prototype it here

Ideas are cheap. Proof is everything. We prototype fast, we refine hard and we do not stop until it feels right in the hand and performs the way it should.

We machine it here, on serious equipment

We invest in the best Japanese machining centres we can (Okuma), because precision matters. The machine is not just a tool, it is the foundation of consistency. We pair that with the best tooling we can get our hands on, because great results come from great equipment and the discipline to use it properly.

We assemble it here

Assembly is where a product becomes personal. Fit, feel, alignment, smoothness, all of that is checked by people who actually care about the outcome, not people trying to hit a quota.

We package it here

Packaging is not an afterthought. It is part of the experience. It is the first moment you meet the product, and we want it to feel premium, safe, and intentional from the second you open it.
